The home office - paperwork and filing
"Paper is the one thing that multiplies faster than children's toys. These are the products that stop it winning."
Paperwork is the decluttering job clients put off longest — and feel the most relief from once it's sorted. A good system doesn't need to be complicated. It needs a home for everything incoming, a home for everything to action, and a home for everything to file. These are my favourite filing friends:

“Sweet Clips. Colourful Stars. Serious Organisation...”
These little star sticky notes make me ridiculously happy.
I use them constantly with clients for reminders, lists, gentle prompts, and those “must actually remember this” moments.

And yes — the fact they’re stars and a little nod to my logo star does make me feel like I’m subliminally reminding everyone that they’re doing brilliantly (including myself).
Bright, cheerful, impossible to ignore, and far more motivating than a sad beige sticky note - because life admin feels slightly better when it comes with gold (or pink or blue or green) stars, dahling. ⭐
These little clips have become something of a Declutter Dahling mascot. Practical? Absolutely. But also oddly joyful.

I use them with clients for paperwork, receipts, “important-but-I’ll-deal-with-it-later” piles, and all the random life admin that tends to multiply overnight, to bring a tiny bit of personality to paperwork (which, frankly, needs all the help it can get).
And I can’t lie — walking back into a client’s home for a follow-up session and spotting a smiley-face clip peeking out from a neatly organised paper pile genuinely makes me smile. Small wins, dahling.
“Everyday tools. Effortless order...”
The humble label maker. Possibly the closest thing the organising world has to a magic wand. One minute it’s “that drawer with the stuff in it.”
The next? A fully functioning system that makes you feel suspiciously in control of your life.

I use my label maker constantly — from paperwork and cables to pantry jars, storage boxes and those mysterious chargers everyone pretends they know the owner of.
Warning: once you start labelling, you may become emotionally attached to categorising things. This is normal dahling.
For the paperwork you swear you’ll “deal with later...”
These are brilliant for creating instant calm without committing to a full filing cabinet situation. Bills, warranties, client paperwork, travel documents, random life admin — straight into a wallet and suddenly you look like someone who has their affairs in order.

I love these because they’re simple, lightweight and stop loose papers breeding quietly around the house.
Not glamorous but deeply satisfying all the same dahling.

“From everyday admin to long-term paperwork storage — sorted...”

Pretty enough to leave out. Practical enough to actually use.
The backbone of any paper system.
This upright A4 file sorter keeps everyday admin visible, accessible and far less overwhelming — with space for inbox, to action, to file, to pay and waiting.
Because paperwork may be unavoidable… but losing it in random places and piles around your home absolutely isn’t dahling.
For the paperwork you need… but don’t need to look at every day.
This practical filing box keeps important documents safely stored away, with suspension files to help organise everything.

From household paperwork and warranties to tax returns and all the life admin that somehow follows us around forever — all neatly contained and easy to find when you need them.
A simple colour-coded suspension system — one colour per category such as home, finance, health or car — is all most households really need to keep paperwork manageable and easy to find when it matters.
Out of sight, organised, and quietly making you feel like you’ve got your life together, dahling.
